2013 Inspired by tales she heard as a child and largely self-taught, Inuit artist Ningiukulu Teevee brings the animals and legends of the far north to life. In Colourful Wild Owl, reproduced for this 500-piece puzzle, she playfully portrays a sly, multi-colored owl, which seems to be hiding a pal, or an owlet, or a mate? Teevee often melds representation with abstraction in her work.
